(More customer reviews)The computer looks nice and the motherboard and memory work well.
The problem is in the interior space design. There are six internal slots for disk drives. The drives have to be slid in from the back toward the front. The first problem is that the top two slots cannot be used because you cannot put the drives in with the memory in place and you cannot put the memory in with the drives in place. That means there are effectively four internal slots for disk drives.
The back of the disk drive holder is level with the motherboard. This means that when you put the bottom disks in they cover the serial port connector and two of the SATA connectors. If you plug in a serial cable and two SATA connectors into the ports on the bottom right corner of the motherboard the bottom disk drive winds up pressing hard against them.
The unit I received had all of the wires nicely tied together. Of course you have to cut all of the ties to be able to install the disk drives and to pull the power and connectors for the external components (i.e. optical drive). You also have to reroute the wires connected to the front panel of the machine that were routed through the disk drive holder.
It was easy to put in expansion cards although it should be noted that the punch out plates in the back panel of the machine do not have screws in them so bring your own.
There was one additional problem -- Visionman does not provide the serial number of the motherboard. So, unless you want to take the motherboard out and see if there is a serial number sticker on the underside, you cannot reigster the motherboard with ASUS and thus cannot get direct technical support.
The machine is fine if you intend to put in one or two drives and expansion cards and don't mind not being able to register the motherboard. It looks nice and seems to perform well.
